When night falls, around the waters of the cistern that dominates the large courtyard of the mansion, another kind of magic bubbles up: this time, from the kitchen of Kinsterna Hotel.

In the award-winning Sternarestaurant, Greek flavours are transformed into dishes that offer the experience of a high-level degustation menu.

This transformation is not only due to the exceptional management of excellent raw materials or the incorporation of the latest trends and modern techniques.

Our collaboration with the Trastelis Group and the executives of the award-winning restaurant “Spondi” (1* Michelin) has contributed greatly to the final result that we invite you to enjoy.

We are therefore even more proud that this side of Kinsterna- that of high gastronomy- is the product of synergy and creative dialogue with pioneers of Greek cuisine.

Sterna  restaurant is located in the heart of the historic building of the estate. It is developed around the Byzantine cistern with water lilies and is open for dinner some days a week, from June to September.

Mouries restaurant

  Journey to flavoursome memories

The all-day restaurant mouries is surrounded by the homonymous mulberry trees; they gave it its name, they give us the coolness of their shade when we sit around the outdoor tables.

Authentic preparations and homemade flavours prevail here. The fertile soils with abundant water springs around Kinsterna bless the table with fresh seasonal produce: vegetables, fruits and aromatic herbs meet the superior quality, extra virgin olive oil and edible olives from the manor’s olive groves.

Local cheeses, fresh meat from the mountain villages of Parnonas and fish of the day complete the list of raw materials, thanks to Kinsterna Hotel’s cooperation with local producers and fishermen.

The continuation of this encounter is enjoyed daily in the dishes we offer you, with the primary aim of honouring the recipes of our special homeland and introducing you to the flavours of the Laconian land in the best possible way.

Highlighting the simplicity and purity of flavours that take us backto our childhood, we prepare for you the food of tradition – dishes inspired by the wisdom and love of our grandmothers.

Like them, we complete each dish with a touch of the aromatic herbs that grow a few metres away, such as rosemary, mint, sage and thyme. Starting from the mulberries,we travel back to the years of innocence with our taste memory as a vehicle…

Linos tavern

Traditional taverna

What is it that always makes us return to the most beautiful version of popular cuisine and seek out taverns? Their delicious food, the authentic atmosphere and the lack of any unnecessary formality? Their long-standing operation, which makes them a hangout spot and the birthplace of many stories told by their regulars? The simple, but full-bodied ‘house’ wine that perfectly accompanies the dishes around which the merry conversations and banter of the company unfold?

It’s all of these things together – and it’s all the things that we here at Kinsterna Hotel have made sure that the “linos”experience includes.

In the outdoor area we have set up a unique setting, with the homonymous wine press (lino) that “christened” our tavern, the old stone olive oil press and the stone wood-fired oven..

Quince trees, pomegranates and vines are the ideal setting for a “folk-inspired”, genuine meal consisting of fresh salads, country bread, vegetables from our orchards and local meats simmered in the wood-fired oven.

Linos tavern isopen twice a week during the summer season (mid-June to early September).

Mouries bar

Warmth, atmosphere, calmness

Mouries is Kinsterna’s bar that awaits you throughout the year. A place dedicated to the enjoyment of favourite drinks, fine wines; but also our exclusive cocktails, inspired by the aromas of the herbs that fill the air around the mansion with scents, stirring the senses.

Both in the cosy atmosphere of the interior and on the impressive terrace with the view of the vineyard, the olive trees and the Aegean blue, we ensure you conditions of absolute relaxation and privacy.

Inside the bar we are welcomed by the old still, with its sealed cauldron and copper pipes. It is the main decorative element and takes us back in time, silently narrating the tradition and the art of distillation.

Antique furniture, a piano and modern objects are combined harmoniously in a meeting of yesterday’s and today’s aesthetic.

The outdoor area of Mouries bar, under the arbour, is also ideal for small social events, as it is designed to offer privacy among guests.

Belvedere bar

Overlooking the olive tree, the vineyard and the sea

The view we see while relaxing at the Belvedere bar seems to encapsulate Elytis’ famous phrase: “If you dismantle Greece, in the end you will find that you will be left with an olive tree, a vineyard and a boat.Which means, with so much more, you can rebuild it”.

And indeed, three ‘seas’ are spread out under our gaze. The first, the “authentic” one, with its blue waves and the boats that rush across its backbone.

The second, dressed in the grey and silvery colours of the olive. And the third, a mountain clothed in the tender greenery and the captivating light of the vines.

The recipe is simple: accompany the contemplation of this unique view with a glass of famous wine from the cellars of Kinsterna Hotel, or a cup of Parnon tea filled with the healing power of the herbs of the Greek land.

The smell of freshly ground coffee, the freshness of the estate’s fruit in our desserts and the coolness of the most relaxing cocktails also perfectly complement the “Belvedere”experience and are suitable for all hours.

The Belvedere bar is also the place where we host meetings of a more personal nature: private dinners and cocktail parties, but also the “opening” of the wedding party with guest reception, all find the ideal setting in which to be aesthetically accomplished here.

Pool bar

Relaxation in the embrace of nature

The Pool Bar is located next to the adult pool. Here the coolness of the water on the skin meets the coolness of cocktails and the light enjoyment of small meals throughout the day.

Drawing inspiration from the fresh fruit of our garden, we offer our own version of timeless favourites, cocktails bursting with notes of fresh fruit.

For the more adventurous, we suggest our own handcrafted tsipouro, produced in a limited number of bottles and available exclusively at the mansion.

And because we all appreciate the element of surprise,our bartender is always ready to devise your own personal cocktail, inspired by the spirit of the Mediterranean and the estate in line with your taste preferences.
