In the evenings you can only hear the crickets. You climb the stone steps; go out on the balcony below under a sky full of stars and listen carefully: Only then will you notice the sound of the sea rippling in the distance, beyond the still waters of the pool on which the stars are reflected. Following it with your gaze, you see the Methoni Castle, bathed in its golden light. It seems like you can reach it, only if you stretch your arm enough.

Eight beautiful apartments coexist in a traditional, stone-built building that is atmospherically lit in the evenings, exuding romance and earthly, affordable luxury.

On the inside, small cute details like the handmade tables made out of logs and the small, handcrafted tables made out of tree trunks, the retro light stands and the soft curves on the white stone walls merge island references with local tradition, and a touch of the Italian countryside, in a combination unlike any other. All apartments have a view to the pool, which is perfect for the first dip of the day (don't worry about the season, the summer there in the south lasts long... very long) before you take the road to the beach, which is a 5-minute walk from here. In the heart of an idyllic, green garden, with olive trees, which are symbols of the blessed Messinian land, there is a pool bar providing the essentials like coffee, cocktails and snacks.

The Abeloessa's pool promises endless hours of relaxation and summer siesta (as we’ve mentioned) even when the calendars don't officially mark summer. That's exactly when we need it the most.

In the amenities of the apartments are included -apart from the standard air conditioning, LCD TVs- fully equipped kitchens with microwave ovens (because the portions of the area's restaurants are generous, there's always leftovers) and Apivita toiletries in the bathroom.

But we've saved the best part for last: the amazing breakfast comes every morning at the time of your choosing, served on giant trays loaded with delicacies that change daily : Fluffy, freshly baked pancakes and croissants, sunny side up, scrambled eggs or omelets, sourdough bread, local yogurt, seasonal fruit, steamy dough pastries, cheese and cold cuts, and of course coffee and juice that make the perfect start for the day.
